At the end of James Cameron’s Titanic, Rose mentions only one boat came back and only 6 people were saved. We know only two of these people for certain, Rose and the Chinese Man.
I think I found out who she meant, but I don’t know for sure.
Lowe mentions having rescued four people from the water,
William Hoyte(passed away in lifeboat, 1st class)
Fang Lang(the Chinese Man, 3rd class)
Harold Phillimore(1st class steward)
And an unidentified fourth individual(a man)
We can also add Rose to this list.
Who could the fifth and last person be?
My theory is it’s Charles Joughin.
Rose meets him moments before the ship goes down and while we see he made it to Collapsible B, in real life, he never got on.
Rose also never saw his escape, but when she saw him among the survivors, she figured he must've been saved by a lifeboat. If not him, then it wouldve been one of the seven crew members rescued by lifeboat 4.
So in my opinion, the six that Rose refers to are Rose, Joughin, Fang Lang, Hoyt, Phillimore and the fourth man from Lifeboat 14.
