I did so hope little Alfie might have come through. The lift boy. It was his first voyage. He loved the sea. Shall we ever be able to look at the world the same way? |

—Lawrence Beesley talking about Alfred King to Leigh Goodwin |
In S.O.S. Titanic, Alfred "Alfie" King was portrayed by actor Nicholas Davies. It should be noted that he is depicted as a child, not a crew member who is 19 years old.
He appeared while watching Leigh Goodwin and Lawrence Beesley playing games on the Forecastle deck. Lawrence Beesley invited Alfie to play together, but he replied that he was not allowed and left.
He reappeared on the night of April 14, assisting Thomas Kelland in submitting forms for the American Customs in the Second Class Library. His fate during the sinking was not shown, but he was listed among the characters who did not survive the sinking.
Titanic (1997)[]
In the 1997 film, since all 4 lift attendants appeared, most likely one of them was Alfie King. When viewed from Alfie's physical characteristics and age, this elevator attendant is the one most similar to him.
He appears when Rose DeWitt Bukater and Jack Dawson run towards the elevator to avoid Lovejoy, surprising the lift attendant. He did not appear during the sinking, but like Alfie and all other lift attendants in real life, he must have died.
