The Allison family is well-known for being the only First Class family on the Titanic where both the mother and daughter didn't survive the sinking. Their daughter Helen Lorraine Allison was also the only child in First Class to perish.
They were major characters in the 1996 Miniseries 'Titanic', Hudson was portrayed by Kevin Conway, Bess was portrayed by Harley Jane Kozak and Loraine was portrayed by Devon Hoholuk. The part of Trevor was uncredited. The miniseries' subplot regarding them was highly fictionalized and filled with historical inaccuracies: for example, the screenplay added the story of the long-standing myth that Alice (portrayed by Felicity Waterman) was a child murderess who stole Trevor in a fit of panic, thus forcing the rest of the family to remain on the ship looking for him until it was too late. Their other servants (Sarah, Mildred and George) weren't featured in the series - the only one traveling with them was Alice.
The Allisons are also featured in the 2012 Miniseries 'Titanic', with Preston Hrisko as Hudson, Olivia Darnley as Bess, and Izabella Urbanowicz as Alice. This portrayal is also filled with historical inaccuracies, but Sarah Daniels and Trevor are portrayed by extras.
