Arne Jonas "Joma" Fahlstrøm was a Norwegian actor and a passenger on board the RMS Titanic when it sank on its Maiden Voyage. Arne Jonas was born 5 July 1893 in Slemdal, Kristiania. He grew up there and was the only son of actor, painter and theatre director Johan Fahlstrøm and actress Alma Fahlstrøm. The family was central to Kristiania's theater life and had, among other things, run Fahlstrøm's theatre.

After graduating in 1911, his parents sent him off to the United States so that he could develop his artistic talents and study film. His parents treated him to the trip because of his good results.

Arne Fahlstrøm embarked on a journey to the USA on 3 April 1912, when he left he left Kristiania with the SS Oslo of the Wilson Line and traveled to Hull in England. Later he traveled to Southampton where he was to board the RMS Titanic. He boarded the ship on 10 April 1912.

On board he was the only one of the 31 Norwegian passengers who traveled in Second Class. 28 of them traveled in Third Class, while the Østby family of two traveled in First Class. Despite this, Arne Fahlstrøm was the only Norwegian who had a kind of celebrity status in hs country.

Not much is known about his life aboard the ship. Arne Fahlstøm lost his life during the sinking of the RMS Titanic - he was only 18 years old at the time. If his body was found, he was never identified. Of the 30 Norwegian passengers, 20 lost their lives.

Arne Fahlstrøm's parents were on holiday in Copenhagen when they heard that Arne had died. The parents, who had now lost their only child, never got over the loss of Arne and later formed a fund in Arne's name for poor theater artists.

They also bequeathed their fortune to the Rescue Society, which named two boats after Arne. Arne Fahlstrøm was also mentioned in the shilling song about the Titanic's downfall.
