The British Wreck Commissioner's inquiry into the sinking of the RMS Titanic began on Monday, April 22nd, 1912; headed by Lord Mersey. It was an investigation into sinking of the Titanic, performed by maritime experts to prevent a similar disaster from occurring in the future.
While the US Inquiry was already going on, it was insisted to start an inquiry of its own in Britain. It lasted for 36 days. Over the years the whole Inquiry has been called a "whitewash."
Full transcripts of the inquiry can be found here.
