A-21

A-21, photographed from a large 'Plan of FIrst Class Accomodation'

Cabin A-21 was an outward, relatively small-sized First Class State Room on the starboard side on the forward part of A-Deck. John Bertram Brady occupied this cabin. Since its window looked out on the Promenade and not the sea, it had a ventilator on the ceiling. The cabin also had an electric heater installed. The biggest difference compared with most of the more 'standard' First Class cabins on the lower decks is that it had a nicer looking bedstead. The state rooms on lower decks had wooden berths. A-21 was single berth only, but is so fitted that a Sofa Berth can be provided when required, for example if the occupant wanted to have another passenger over as guest.
