Titanic had some of the most luxurious State Rooms, called Suites. They were large, roomy, and had the most beautiful decoration in different styles, lots of high class furnuture, larger beds than the standard First Class cabins and their own lavatory as well as a shared bathtub, shared between 2 suites usually, which was a big deal in that time. Several other, less luxurious Staterooms had shared toilets somewhere else on the Deck, or a seperate bathtub. They were very expensive and only the richest First Class passengers could afford to stay in them. They were situated on B-Deck and C-Deck, aft of the Grand Staircase.
Among them were 4 of the best known Parlor Suites, cabins that of 2 or even 3 different rooms. B51/53/55 and B52/54/56 on B-Deck had a Sitting Room and their own, 100 feet long Private Promenade Deck with lounge chairs and plants, which was kinda like a miniature mix between the Verandah Palm Court and Cafe Parisien. They were occupied by White Star Line director Bruce Ismay and on the other side by the Cardeza family.
On C-Deck there were C-55/57, which was occupied by the Strausses, and C-62/64.
