Titanic Wiki

All of the passengers travelling in the cheapest, lowest class of the ship. They were largely the common folk, some having limited means, often immigrants and foreigners. Several were British, but also many of them were Irish, Scandanavian and from various other countries.

The single men were seperated from the families and single women. The single men were in the largest number, and their accomodation was situated in the bows of the ship. The families and single women had cabins in the stern part of Titanic.

For them, Titanic was a huge upgrade in terms of service and treatment. They were still disadvantaged during the sinking however, and were often kept behind closed gates and couldn't find their way out. They hadn't been instructed properly either.

They were the largest group aboard Titanic, often had to share cabins with sometimes 6 other people, and had the least room aboard. Their cabins were often simple, spartan but still decent, however not decorated.

They still had an Open Space upfront, a General Room, two large, seperate Dining Saloons (for the two divided groups respectively) and their own Smoke Room, both in the aft section. Their promenade decks were often at the same space as where some deck crew had to work. A part of the Forecastle Deck, Forward Well Deck, Aft Well Deck and the Poop Deck.

On Titanic they made a lot of music with folklore, had some dance parties and chased an occasional rat.

Third Class was the group that was hit the hardest by the disaster and experienced the greatest loss of life. Sadly even some large families were completely wiped out in the sinking.
