It's a big boat, huh?" |

Cora Cartmell is a recurring character in the 1997 film Titanic. She traveled with her parents on Titanic as a Third Class passenger. She was portrayed by Alexandria Owens.
Role in the film[]
Her first appearance was when she and her parents were admiring the beauty and luxury of the Titanic, her father asked her, if that Titanic wasn't a big boat. Cora corrected him in a funny, wise way for a little kid: "Daddy, it's a ship!".
After Titanic left the coast of Ireland, Cora and her father were drawn by Jack on the stern.

You're still my best girl, Cora. |

—Jack Dawson to Cora Cartmell |
At the Third Class party, Cora dances with Jack, who is soon replaced by Rose. Cora is jealous, but Jack says "You are still my best girl, Cora", making Cora smile.
When the Titanic sank, they were awakened by a steward and told them to wear life jackets. Confused about what to do, it seems that the Cartmells are going back to sleep.
It is not known what the Cartmell family did after that, but it seems they realized too late that the Titanic was sinking. They were seen in one deleted scene, at Titanic's last five minutes. Just before the stern starts to rise, the water began to quickly reach them, and immediately rushed to one of the Third Class gates which turned out to be locked. The three of them drowned there.
Cora reappears in Rose's dream scene, being carried by her father and waving at Rose. Cora and her father and mother applauded seeing Rose reunited with Jack after 84 years.
