He was only mentioned in Episode 1, it was said by Hazel Foley that the Paradine family owned beautiful real estate in Hudson, USA. Wynn Park also mentioned that he was jealous because Isabella's parents preferred to match her up with Eddie who comes from a rich family. Isabella also mentioned that Eddie was a kind and gentle man, helping her during her difficult times.
When Isabella fell in love with Wynn Park again, Isabella wrote a wireless message via Harold Bride, stating that Isabella could no longer be with him. However, this message was never sent because the Titanic sank.

After Isabella arrived in New York, while Wynn died, Madeleine Astor asked Isabella if Eddie would come pick her up and allow Isabella to meet her daughter, but Isabella replied that she didn't want to think about it.

Eddie's first appearance was when Claire called Isabella, he and Claire immediately hugged Isabella. Isabella had apologized about the wireless message she had sent, but Eddie doesn't understand what she's saying, he clearly didn't get a telegram. Isabella was just silent and kept it as her secret. Eddie, Isabella and Claire return to their home as a family.
