She was confined in the dog kennels with the other dogs, under the responsibility of carpenter John Hutchinson.

It is unknown what Kitty's fate was during the Titanic's sinking. Madeleine Astor asks J.J. to get their dog. Legends stated that J.J. himself who came down to release Kitty and the other dogs from their kennels and lead them to the upper deck. However, this has not been confirmed. Kitty goes down with the ship.

In the original script, Kitty should have appear during the sinking when J.J. would release her from the kennels. J.J. said: "Goodluck, Old girl".

In the 1997 Film, Kitty makes a possible appearence as an of the Airedale Terrier dog running across the deck with an Afghan Hound, Bichon Frise and Gamin de Pycombe in one of the deleted scenes. Astor yelled "release the hounds!" She also mentioned by J.J. Astor in another deleted scene, J.J. explained to Mr. Guggenheim:

I'm looking for our damned dog...
John!
Ah...Madeleine asked me to look for the dog.

The last appearance of Kitty was when she ran across the deck and Caledon Hockley has to push past her to get forwards to a lifeboat on the deck, and curses at her.

During Titanic's sinking, J.J released the dogs from their kennels including Kitty and Sookee, and gave them to Grace Rushton, who she brought into Emergency Lifeboat 2.

Initially, they were refused entry by 4th Officer Boxhall, but were protested by Grace Rushton. Later, Grace Rushton returned Kitty to Madeleine Astor.

Although in real life Kitty goes down with the ship, in this miniseries she's survived.
