George Alexander Prangnell was a Greaser aboard the Titanic when the ship hit an iceberg. He was one of four surviving Greasers of the disaster.

Early Life[]
George Prangnell was born on December 12th, 1881 in Southampton, Hampshire to his father, Alexander Prangnell, and his mother, Caroline Curtis.
He first appears on the 1891 Census living with his father and sister at St. Micheal, Southampton, as it’s unknown what happened to George’s mother.
He would later reappear in autumn 1906, the then 24 year old George would be married to Elizabeth Dack, and by then had a three year old named William, and baby named George Jr., it’s said that he had an older kid named Barns, as claimed by Janice Russell.
Titanic[]
George would sign onto the Titanic on April 6th, 1912, transferring from her sister Olympic, and becoming a greaser aboard the ship. As a greaser, he was expected to receive wages of £6, s10 every month. When signing on, he gave his address as 3 Brew House Court, Southampton. On the night of the sinking, it’s believed that George had survived by climbing aboard the upturned lifeboat B. However his family claimed he had been clinging onto pieces of debris for three days, before a cargo ship picked him up.
Prangnell would die on December 3rd, 1953 at the age of 71.
