A Great Dane dog
There was a legend suggested that Miss Ann Elizabeth Isham brought on board the RMS Titanic with a dog (possibly a Great Dane), and some believe that it was her refusal to leave her dog that led to her death.
On 20 April 1912, while sailing from Bremen to New York City, SS Bremen passed through the debris field left by the sinking of the RMS Titanic. A passenger saw a frozen body of a woman floating in the water hugging her big dog.
It has been further suggested that Miss Isham was the woman observed to have had her arms frozen around her dog in the water following the sinking. However, no firm evidence has been found to support the claims.
