Samuel Pence, better known on YouTube as Historic Travels, is a maritime historian with 130,000 subscribers on the social broadcasting platform. He is an up-and-coming YouTuber in his thirties.
He has many miniature models of the three Olympic-Class ships, as well as the Nomadic and the Lusitania, and many more. He also had received many shipments of objects from the 1900’s era, including an Olympic and Queen Mary deck chair.
Sam had made many videos about the Titanic and her infamous stories, such as the Navratil Kids and the Message in a bottle by Jeremiah Burke, among many others. He also had made videos about the Costa Concordia disaster in 2012, the Doña Paz, Britannic, Lusitania, Empress of Ireland, Olympic and many other ships. He also makes videos about Titanic's crew and passengers, the interior, and other subjects including Pompeii. Every Sunday night, he goes live on YouTube for 1 hour. In his live streams, he answers questions asked from the chat. His mother is an up-and-coming author who has written several books of "Tales of the Protectors".
Sam nicknamed his dog, Rosie "Horse".
Sam had been calling out ‘Yellow Journalists’ such as Bright Side for their poorly researched and heavily inaccurate Titanic videos.
