Hold Stewards

There were 2 Hold Stewards in the 1997 Film Titanic.

Hold Steward 1[]

Hold Steward 1 was a steward working in Third Class, he seems to be born circa. 1885.

Around 11:35 P.M, he and another steward were going about their business when all of a sudden Frederick Barrett went to yell at him that two passengers were running about in the boilers. The stewards went to concoct their search. Barrett directs them towards the cargo hold, and they entered.

While searching they come across a Renault belonging to W. Carter to which Hold Steward 1 finds Rose’s handprint on the window. He then motioned for the other steward to go to the other side of the door. As he opens it expecting to see Jack and Rose, yelling "gotcha", however, he found nothing, embarrassing himself.

Around 11:40 P.M, the two stewards were still searching the cargo hold when the iceberg collided with the the ship, and water rushes into the hold where the steward is knocked off of his feet by the rushing water. Contrary to popular belief, the current calms down when the water gets waist-high and the hold stewards escape the flooding hold.

Upon reaching the deck, Hold Steward 1 ends up at Collapsible A, where he begins either holding off people. When he reaches the lifeboat, water rushes the deck and he ends up falling out, however he is saved and ends up rowing the lifeboat with his arms, away from the forward funnel. Minutes later he hears a racket as one of his coworkers fell off the boat and was sucked into the ship, although Hold Steward 1 attempted to help.

Later, a panic ensued at the boat as the Third Class passengers tried to climb back in. Hold Steward 1 was shoved into by someone and fell out of the boat, and had to swim through the rapid waters aft. Then he was caught by suction as a window smashed open and he was pulled into a window. He tried to pull himself out, but it was no avail, and he fell in, drowning.

Hold Steward 1 was a steward working in third class, he seems to be born a few years earlier than his coworker

Around 11:35PM, he and another steward were going about their business when all of a sudden Frederick Barrett went to yell at him that two passengers were running about in the boilers. The stewards went to concoct their search. Barrett directs them towards the cargo hold, to which he responded "right" and they entered.

While searching they come across a Renault belonging to W. Carter to which his partner finds a handprint on the window. He then motioned for Hold Steward 2 to go to the other side of the door. As he opens it expecting to see Jack and Rose, Hold Steward 1 embarrassed himself by yelling "gotcha" even though nobody was there.

Around 11:40 P.M, the two stewards were still searching the cargo hold when the iceberg collided with the the ship, and water rushes into the hold where the steward is knocked off of his feet by the rushing water. He also wound up on deck and watched as Collapsible A was thrown down from the roof. He then moved aft to hold back the chain of steerage passengers and he was never seen again.
