The Skoogs

The nameless Scotland Road family was a group of Third Class passengers in the movie 'Titanic' from 1997. They probably embarked at Southampton like many Swedes in real life did.

Although never directly confirmed, the nameless Scotland Road Family in James Cameron's film may have been inspired by Wilhelm and Anna Skoog with their four children. Considering a few similarities between the two families, as the Scotland Road family has 4 children just like the Skoog and one of their sons was walking on crutches just like Karl Skoog, who had an incident with a train in America in his youth.

The family is first seen searching for their cabin while boarding the ship, passing by Jack Dawson and Fabrizio de Rossi on G-Deck. This is historically inaccurate as a family would have their cabin on the aft part of the ship, whilst single men would be housed in the forward part and bow section, strictly seperated, away from the families and single women.

The father was among the dancers during the party in the Third Class General Room. He also saw Tommy Ryan do a game of hand pres with a fellow traveler.

Later, as the ship began to go down the family tried to stay together, as passengers pushed them apart.

During the night of April 15, when the ship was going down, the family met on the Boat Deck just as Emergency Lifeboat 2 was being loaded with people. The mother and older daughter went ahead of the group while the father and the boys remained together and were separated. The girl dissapeared along the way. The two boys and older daughter died, where the mother, father, and the young daughter survived.
