The Orlop Deck is the ninth deck down from the top and it’s well below the waterline. It is between the Tank Top and G Deck. The Mail Room and the Cargo Holds are on this deck. This deck was completely off-limits to passengers. The boiler rooms from the Tank Top extended through the Orlop Deck up to G Deck. There were 3 cargo holds forward and 3 cargo holds aft.
This deck had the mailroom, cargo holds, the casings for the boiler & engine rooms, parcel & specie rooms, refrigerated cargo, & CO2 evaporator room.
