I Can't! I just Can't! That's all there is to it, and I'm staying right here! And I won't get on a boat!

—Pauline Gibson to Dorothy Gibson and Charles Lightoller

Pauline Gibson was portrayed by Sally Bankes in the 2012 miniseries Titanic. She first appeared when she was introduced by her daughter, Dorothy Gibson to Lord Manton, Lady Manton and Georgiana Grex. She greets them and is seen talking with Sir Cosmo and Lady Duff-Gordon.

When the Titanic sank, Pauline became hysterical and insisted she would stay on the ship. Dorothy struggled to put her life jacket on her, until at last 2nd Officer Charles Lightoller came to calm her down, and put her on the life jacket, saying that if she wanted Dorothy safe, Pauline had to too. Pauline calmed down and agreed to Lightoller's words. Lightoller also gave Dorothy a bottle of brandy if somebody would need it.

Immediately the two of them hurried towards the boat deck, seeing Lifeboat 6 being loaded. Dorothy and Pauline rush into it and accidentally bump into Lady Manton. Lady Manton disgusted seeing Dorothy who was carrying brandy, taunted her by saying: "I will not be in the same boat with a drunken prostitute!". Pauline and Dorothy just stared at her in confusion. After Titanic sank, Pauline and Dorothy along with several other passengers on lifeboat 6 were transferred to Emergency Lifeboat 2 by 5th Officer Lowe.
