Polish Mother is a fictional character in A Night to Remember (1958). She is the mother of the Polish Girl and traveled aboard the Titanic as a third class passenger. Her name was never revealed in the film. She was portrayed by Danuta Karell.

She first appears during the third class party, sewing a piece of cloth while her daughter was looking flirtatiously at Patrick Murphy. When Murphy approached her daughter to ask her to dance, she did not allow her to use Polish, but Murphy told her that she only asked her daughter to dance.

When the Titanic sank, she and her daughter were helped by Murphy to put on their life jackets, and were invited to join his group which was consist of Martin Gallagher, Kate Gilnagh, James Farrell and Mrs. Farrell headed for the upper deck. They found their way through the second class barrier.

When they reached the second class corridor, they met Charles Joughin who was drunk and asked the way to the boat deck, Joughin answered vaguely, confused them and left. She stared in disgust at Joughin before leaving him.

The group arrived at the First Class Dining Saloon and paused for a moment admiring the beauty and luxury of first class. Eventually they reached the deck of the boat through the entrance to second class, and headed for Lifeboat 16. She and the others watched in horror as a woman nearly fell into the water hysterically as she refusing to leave her husband. 5th Officer Lowe called her, her daughter, Kate and Mrs. Farrell to get into the lifeboat and bid farewell to Murphy, Gallagher and James Farrell.

She and the rest of her group except James Farrell were rescued on board the RMS Carpathia, and prayed with the other passengers for the victims who died in the sinking of the Titanic.
