Trivia[]
- Robbie Lucas and his wife are composites of several married couples, notably Mr. Lucian Smith and Mrs. Mary Smith. Lucas even says the words actually spoken by Lucien Smith to his wife: "I never expected to ask you to obey me, but this is one time you must".
- The scene when Robbie attaches a necklace to his wife seems to inspire a scene in the 1997 film Titanic, when Caledon Hockley pairs the Heart of the Ocean to Rose.
