The Steerage Man 1 was a recurring character of the 1997 Film Titanic. He was played by James Cameron, the director of Titanic.
He was one of the dancers in the Irish party.
When the ship was sinking, he managed to escape steerage with the Titanic drunk. He ended up in the Grand Staircase, where he saw Cal try to shoot Jack & Rose.
He was one of the many people at Collapsible A., Appearing behind Fabrizio, Tommy and Cal where he witnesses Murdoch shoots and kills Tommy and another man and then himself. eventually he managed to survive on the boat and appeared on the Carpathia.
He was one of the extra's who survived the sinking in the movie but were nevertheless shown in the dream scene.
