The original facts and details of the Titanic disaster from the newspapers are described in this book and shed a light on another aspect regarding one of the greatest maritime disasters in human history. It tells of how the general public perceived the whole ordeal. Mentioned are the first reports that told of the RMS Titanic being towed to Halifax and all the passengers saved in erroneous first reports.

The books also tells us how the survivors were saved, how many of her own heroes aboard sacrificed their own lives on the fateful night so that others may live. The story of the two wireless operators, their wireless device, which was something new and wondrous back in 1912, but so critical in saving lives can also be found in this book, as well as details of a fire on board the Titanic which had been burning since the ship left port in Southampton.

These details and others were on the front pages of great newspapers beginning hours after the ship sank. The U.S. Senate convened a hearing three days following the plunge to the ocean floor by the greatest ship ever built to that day.

Questions are asked such as: Why did Captain Smith ignore warnings of ice fields ahead? Why were there only enough lifeboats for one-third of the passengers and crew? Was the ship speeding?

It's also richly illustrated with some of the best photos and graphics that survived from the original coverage. This book on Kindle by a 21st century reporter looks back at the most significant disaster to that day in the 20th century, promises the reader to seperate facts from fiction.

A paperback version is also available on Amazon.
