Titanic 2: The Surface is a fan-made recut trailer for a supposed sequel to James Cameron's Titanic. It has been uploaded and re-uploaded countless times on YouTube, but the oldest one found dates back to April 5th, 2006. The video is often called "Jack's back", which has become a tagline for the non-existing movie.
Films used
The creators used scenes from several Leonardo DiCaprio movies like The Basketball Diaries, Romeo + Juliet, Titanic, The Beach, Catch me if you can, Demolition Man and The Aviator. Other movies used are: The Abyss, Hulk, In the Mouth of Madness, Escape from Alcatraz, The Shawshank Redemption, Con Air, Se7en, The Interpreter, Primal Fear, The Fugitive, Forever Young, Spider-Man 2 and UHF. Also audio from Contact and The Bourne Supremacy were taken to assemble the video.
The video dates back to April 2006, but it has been re-uploaded ever since.
Movie or not?
Of course, there is no movie behind this fan-made video, but its release caused quite a confusion. Up to today, many people still think that this was the trailer of an actual movie, and the internet is filled with questions about when the whole movie will be released.

- A sequel to Titanic (1997) is unlikely to be made, as Century Fox and James Cameron himself have repeatedly stated that they are more focused on turning Avatar into a five-film franchise. Where the lore and world of Pandora is explored, with Avatar: The Way of Water already released in 2022 and with Avatar III on the way.
