William (Walter) Wynn (November 13th 1870 - Circa 1945) was a Quartermaster on the Titanic.

William Wynn was born on November 13, 1870 in Chester, Cheshire, England. He was the son of Henry Levi Wynne and Rachel Wynne. William had two brothers: William Levi, who was born in 1868 and Levi, who was born in 1872.

William married to Rachel Ann Heath from Burslem, Staffordshire. He lived in Southampton.

William Wynn was also part of the crew on the Oceanic, before he became the Quartermaster of the famous new liner on March 25, 1912.

Titanic[]

William Wynn embarked on the ship in Belfast.

He was assigned to lifeboat 9, manned by Boatswain Albert Haines. This meant he survived the disaster.

After the sinking[]

Wynn was not called upon to testify for the US Inquiry, and returned to England, but he was demanded to appear at the British Inquiry.

Later life[]

Walter Wynn passed away in 1945 at the age of 74. His wife also died that year, on October 13. It appears they were victims of World War II.
